Bianca Conwell is a photographic artist based in Melbourne, Australia.
Bianca is interested in the marriage of science and art in the hand craft of photography, enjoying the difference between the images she makes and the modern world surrounding us. She uses hand made photographic materials and large format cameras, combined with alternative and historic printing methods.

Achievements:
Bianca was the recipient of the Mike Ware Award for her daguerreotype ‘Helix’ in The Print Exposed exhibition at Gold Street Studios, Trentham East, VIC 2026. The Mike Ware Award is judged on a combination of visual artistic merit, the craftsmanship of the work and control of the scientific processes used.
Honour award for ‘Aloe’ in the Lightrunner 185 Exhibition. Shanghai Camera and Photography Museum, Pudong China 2024.
Bianca’s work was published in 2021 in ‘Chrysotype, a contemporary guide to photographic printing in Gold’ by Leanne McPhee
In 2021 Bianca was invited to be an advisor of the Lishui International Handmade Photography Centre, for the 4th international photography symposium and 2021 Lishui photography festival.
